Mobile Site Comparison

It is fair to say that out of all the mobile website creation tools available, Zinadoo comes up trumps.  Zinadoo has been around since 2006.  As one of the first to market with this innovative service, it has clocked up the miles and can safely declare it’s the expert in mobile site creation services.  Supporting this concept is Nubiq’s recent win at the Mobile Internet Awards last month in Boston.  Zinadoo’s site creation service won the award for the Most Innovative Mobile Internet Consumer Deployment Award.  There were 4 categories overall, with 60 entries in this category alone!  So you can imagine it was a fantastic triumph for Zinadoo to be chosen as the overall winner.

Zinadoo makes it very easy for anyone to create a mobile site – from teenagers to retirees!  Zinadoo has been developed with the consumer in mind, and brings mobile technology to non-technical users.  Mobile websites can be built both on the PC web www.zinadoo.com and on the mobile web http://zinadoo.mobi.

As the pioneering leader, Zinadoo has to contend with many copycat competitors who come up with similar branding and positioning.  For example, mobiSiteGalore, who recently claimed “for the first time in the history of the Internet, you would be able to create & edit mobile websites just by using a basic mobile phone with Internet connection.”  I guess somebody in market research didn’t do their homework as Zinadoo has allowed users to create a mobile website using a handset for over a year now – see http://blog.zinadoo.com/2007/10/09/zinadoo-mobile/.  It might be the first time in mobiSiteGalore history, but they are not making mobile web history here.

Speaking of features available on the mobile phone, now Zinadoo’s Messaging services can be used to send SMS and Emails right from the mobile handset on http://zinadoo.mobi.  Yet another way in which Zinadoo is ahead of the competition.  No need to log on to your PC to send those urgent updates, now it can be done on the go!

Another revolutionary move from Zinadoo was the video feature, which was released in June this year.  This application allows users to upload video clips right onto their mobile website with the click of a button that logs straight into their YouTube account.  Easy!  Again, it wasn’t long before the others followed suit.  MoFuse, for example, announced in August - two months after Zinadoo’s launch - that they now provided a service that integrates video onto mobile sites.  So I decided to check it out but ten minutes on the site, I still hadn’t found where this feature is hidden.  Why make it so complicated for users?  However, Mofuse does offer a very simple service to easily mobilize your blog.  Similar to Zinadoo’s RSS widget, you just enter the RSS feed and hit the mobilize button. Within seconds it creates a mobile version of your blog with a live preview.

Zinadoo understands what type of user experience customers want to get from their mobile phones and works to make this experience easier and more enjoyable.  To quote Eliot Weinman, president of Yankee Group, “Mobile Internet World Awards winners truly represent the best and the brightest in the development and deployment of mobile Internet technology.”
